Ministry Description
Kelly and I met through some friends with Campus Crusade for Christ in 1998, when Kelly was new to CCC staff at OU and I was finishing my last semester as a student. We celebrated our fifth anniversary on April 8 of this year, and are the proud parents of Logan Michael-- our precious seventeen month old explorer. Kelly is a graduate of Texas Tech University, and I graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Of course, we love red.
We joined the Campus Crusade for Christ staff team at OU together in 2000, and have had the incredible privilege of serving as Campus Directors of the ministry since 2003. Over the past several years, the Lord has taken us to greater depths in our relationship with Him, and used us to do more than we could have ever hoped or dreamed He would do. God has proven Himself faithful time and time again. We long for our ministry to be an authentic, Christ-centered community that desires to know God, grow in Him, and to make Him known on campus and around the world. Our heart is for everyone on campus to know someone who truly follows Jesus. Whether a student has been in church their entire life, or are maybe just beginning to investigate Christianity... we want to be a safe place to for them to take a fresh look at the One whom we adore and worship, Jesus Christ. We are not only a part of reaching the campus here in the States, but we are also a part of sending students all over the world every summer. Many students even choose to take a year or two after graduation to go to one of our partnering campuses in Russia. Others have even taken a year off from school to go to the former Soviet Union and many other parts of the world. Our hearts are to be a part of seeing the Great Commission fulfilled- making disciples of all nations. Wednesday, August 20 2008 @ 12:53 pm
We're in the eye of the storm now. That small, quiet spot between our staff team planning and the onslaught of events actually about to take place. We just finished ten days of planning with our staff... and tomorrow is our retreat for our student-leaders. From there the ball is rolling...fast. But, it's here in this particularly calm spot that Kelly and I want and need to recharge our spiritual and physical batteries.
A week of planning with ou...

We've been back in Norman now for almost a week. Oh, how we underestimate the comforts of home! It was a wonderful time, however, at Ozark Lakes Summer Project in Branson, MO. We really miss seeing the staff every day, and we were sad to say goodbye to students from other campuses who had become very dear to us. It's hard to believe the fun is still going on without us... as all the staff left for home last week, the students took over running everything for the last...

We've really enjoyed our time here in Branson, MO. The last two months have been full of meeting with staff, spending time wiith students from all over the country, and just plain getting excited about loving God and loving people. We leave tomorrow to see some of our beloved family for a few days, and then its back to Norman to begin gearing up for the fall semester. Please pray for our transition back home! Kelly and the kids have been troopers, but we're ready to be ou...

Sixteen students will be on projects here in the States in places like Los Angeles, Breckenridge, Gettysburg, Chicago, and even Branson, Missouri! One of the most satisfying and exciting things that we get to do is send students from OU to influence the worl...
