Cleiton e Ábia Fiuza

Going through college is a new season of life where a lot of changes take place in a person’s life. From deciding a major course of study to finding a spouse (husband), college students are constantly making decisions that will change their lives. From my own experience (Cleiton), I found that God desires to make changes in college students’ lives as well. My lifestyle first encountered changes when I experienced what the typical college scientific life has to offer. Then, I got frustrated with lots of researches and papers; I knew that I was there for more than this. God made the largest change in my life though after he brought me into a Christian fellowship on my campus.

After people involved with Campus Crusade for Christ reached out to me, my relationship with Christ took hold and my passions changed to serving God. I’ve realized that people all over the world need to hear about Christ’s love for them. At that time, God started calling me to reach college students for Christ! For this reason, I have made a decision of participating on a 2 years-long internship program with CCCI in 2001/2002.

As a recent college graduate, in 2005 I have decided to give my whole life to Him and to continue reaching and developing college students for Christ as a full time Staff with Campus Crusade in Brazil for the next years of my life. I have said “yes” for God’s call. I had many people praying with me during this time of seeking what God’s will was.

I was very encouraged to hear people that I felt very close to tell me that if I was considering mission work, that there was no reason that a job on the veterinarian front couldn’t be my mission field as well. So I spent time digging into God’s word and trying to picture how I fit into his great commission. I decided that I want to experience first hand Acts 20:24. We (Ábia and I) believe at this point in our lives we can connect the best with college students. God can use us to building relationships with them, showing them the truth and training them to be Christian leaders. We are sure God is calling us to keep doing these things in Brasil.

We have been coordinating the campus ministry in 9 different states, mentoring christian leaders, training college students and helping them to build Spiritual Moviments in their own college campuses around Brazil.
