About Me

Hi. My name is Dave Bolander. I currently live in Indianapolis, Indiana and am an active member of Grace Community Church in Noblesville. I have been blessed not only by God's grace, forgiveness and guidance, but also by the many carring friends who have loved, supported and encouraged me.

My family is Christ's family. Being a single person, I am free to interact with my brothers and sisters wherever they may be.

I currently have the great pleasure to serve and lead worship as part of the drama and vocal community teams at Grace Community Church. I have led acting workshops, coaching sessions and directed productions for other churches and community groups in the indianapolis area such as St. Lukes United Methodist Church, Breakdown Indy and Carmel Community Players. I spend many weekends serving at Wheeler Mission, which is located in downtown Indianapolis. Wheeler provides food, shelter, and other services for homeless men in the city. I am also in the process of exploring ministry relationships with Keynote ( a ministry division of Campus Crusade for Christ) and with Shepperd Community Center.

I have been a professional actor and singer for most of my adult life. I spent 12 years in New York City auditioning and working in Off-Off Broadway, Regional Theatre and Summerstock Theatre productions. Some of my favorite roles include: Mervin Oglethorpe in Smoke on the Mountain, Frankie in Forever Plaid, Jacey Squires in The Music Man, Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady, King Arthur in Camelot, Simon Zealot in Jesus Christ Superstar, and Tin Man in Wizard of Oz just to name a few.

Over the last five years, I found myself processing through how God has been leading me to use these artistic gifts, skills and interests. They have provided me not only with a means to express my own worship, but also with a means to communicate God's message and serve others. I believe this is what I have been called to do.
