Greetings from Varanasi, by the grace of our living God we are doing well, and we hope you are in the same way.  First we are thankful for all of your prayers and co-operations which helps us to stand in the mission field.  It is our joy to know that you are behind us.  We appreciate all your emails and letters.  God is renewing our vision and passion each day in spite of darkness and difficulties.  

Varanasi Ministry
Our Friends Network has grown even bigger than before.  There are 7 people learned how to swim, and 3 different fellowships in the city.  In June this summer, there were able to buy a house where they can start future work of training leaders and inviting different people to understand Satsangs (Fellowships).  Most of the leaders have been out of station, now they have returned this month.  Soon they will be making more new plans to do God’s work together.  People are doing are good in language learning as well as using their time to make friendships in the local community.  Some have also been able to gain admission into 2 of the local Universities.  Please do keep them in your prayers so they can do well in their studies and relationship building.  

Our Centre has been blessed to have had the Reach Team with us, but they left us in the middle of August.  They were one of the best teams that we’ve had in Varanasi. They were able to help in our Pre-school, Widow’s Home as well as in many of the different ministries that we have.  They were able to go inside the jail and do ministry amongst the prisoner’s and helping in the office with accounting.  Please do pray for those Churches so they can keep sending their outreach teams to these needed places.  

After long time of prayer and discussion, I have been able to give my Varanasi responsibility as Director of Varanasi, to younger leaders.  I am continuing to coach them in their new roles.  This helps me to be able to do more new things for Varanasi and beyond.  Pramilla is still pregnant, and another staff lady was able to give birth to a healthy baby earlier this month.  Please do remember Pramilla in your prayers as she is due in November.
On  27  -09-06  we    had  evaluation  and  strategy  meeting  to  see  where  we  are  going  in  goals  and  visions.   We were able to    check our goals and aims.  It was powerful time together.

Church Planting (CP)
SCPL (School of Church Planting and Leadership), has just finished last week in Delhi.  With all the CP teams from Uttar Anchal, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi State represented.  We had a powerful time of reviewing our goals, praying and fellowshipping as well as a really powerful time of worship together.  We were able to set goals, make a core group to do various needed things.  As well as being able to encourage and fellowship one another.  The Uttarkashi Team is continuing to grow in the Lord.  The Leaders’ sister sadly died due to sickness and many other team members have been physically very sick.  Please do keep them all in your prayers.

Bhageshwar Team and the school they run have both been experiencing growth.  They are really doing a good job amongst the High Caste Hindus.  They have made more contact through various Children in the school.  The parents of the children are very happy to send their children there.  (This team was also able to attend the SCPL so we could hear their report last week).  

Kanpur:  our Ministry in the city of Kanpur is growing.  They are running a DTS at this present moment.  This is the 3rd one they have run there.  They are still trying to finish their house (as they are building it from scratch).  

Our Church Planting Team in Varanasi is also growing.  They were able to teach 12 people how to swim.  Both the Bhojpuri and Nepali CP trainings were completed successfully, in spite of illness and various kinds of difficulties.  At present we are running the SOFM (School of Frontier Missions), which started this month, there are 11 students and 1 family receiving the training.  

There is another CP team (4 members) will start in January in the city of Pithouragarah, in Uttar Anchal State, very close to Nepal.  There is a great opening among the young generation to learn English. A big door has been opened so they are able to visit there.  There is a future possibility to go among the young lives with the Gospel.  Please do keep praying for this city.
  
Dehra Dun: this centre has done a very good job in running their 1st DTS earlier this year.  They are planning run again in October.  They are also hosting the North Area DTS Consutation next week.  They are a small team of 16 who are very open and have a huge heart to learn from people.  They have a good opening in Bihar, Bhutan and Andaman Island.
  

Training Schools at the Base
Please do pray for our SOFM School, as it’s running right now; and pray that God will open their hearts so they can learn more.  

We will be running a Bhojpuri Conference next month.  17-20th Oct.  We are expecting a great multitude of our Grass Root Leaders to come and spend time in prayer and studying the word of God together.  
In the same month, 30-31st & 1st November, we will have Aradhana Yatra (Worship Boat Ride).  We will be spending 3 on a boat on the River Ganges, worshiping and praying so that doors can open for the Gospel in North India.  There will be, God willing, 10 people participating there.  Please can you join many others in prayer for this time.  I will be one of the members in the boat, so please pray that we can have success.  Please can I ask you to encourage your fellowship to keep us in mind in your Intercession times.  

Pioneering New City
Our desire to see the city of Lucknow to be pioneered soon.  So far we have not been that much successful.  Even though we have gone many times with teams for short trips to intercede and do outreach.  Please remember us so we can see new openings in Lucknow and have a team a permanent presence in this capital city.

Widow’s Home (our widows)
The home is progressing each day.  We have finished plastering outside, and many of the rooms have tiles on the floor.  Plumbing work is also completed.  Electrical work is at present going on as well. We hope that they will give us a completed building in November.  I am very happy to share with you that we have got our Government License to run our Widow’s Home.  

Family News
My children, my wife and I each day are protected by God’s Grace.  Thank you so much for your faithful prayers on our behalf.  Garima, my eldest, is at present in Hyderabad doing her DTS, lecture phase just finished 24th Sep; so she is now in Laddakh, Manali and Kashmir then back to Kerala.  So please remember her in your prayers because she will be experiencing various climates because North has snow and South is hot.   Jyoti she is doing good job in her new school, she is now in 6th Standard.  Please can you pray that she can study well and do a good job with all her homework.  God has really been very gracious to my health as well.  I have been traveling a lot from August through to September.  I have been visiting various centers in North Area as well as being involved in different YWAM Board meetings.  Just  to  let  you  know  that in   my  transportation  and  phone  calls   cost   I  need  to  see  miracles   of  Rs  6000.00  per  month  .   Please do pray for God’s Grace on my life.  Kalindi; is being very gracious to release me into all my responsibilities. At present we are facing a lot of Spiritual Warfare because so much fasting and praying has been happening from Islamic & Hindu Community.  Please do remember us as we are involved in various activities where we need to see miracles daily.  You have already been so gracious in lifting us up in your prayers.

Prayer Requests
• Pray for the Widows Home to be completed in God’s time.
• Pray for God’s wisdom, protection, health & for direction for my family and myself.
• Pray for me, as I coach various leaders in their roles.
• Garima’s DTS Outreach to go well and for health, safe travel.  Thank God for her fees as they have been provided.  
• Please pray for the Bhojpuri Conference & Worship Boat Trip that will it happen next month (October).
• Please pray for Rs=6000.00   for my transport and phone calls.
•   Please  do  pray for Aradhana Yatra (Worship Boat Ride).
