Yesterday, I had the chance to show the love of Christ to children through the simplicity of face painting. I, along with about 20 other friends from a young professionals small group at my church, went to a women's and children's shelter, sponsored by Orlando's Coalition for The Homeless. Impact NOW: The New Orleans Work Project was a phenomenal service project that took place March 8-17, 2006. Nearly 500 college students, Impact staff and volunteers journeyed to New Orleans to bring healing and hope to survivors of Hurricane Katrina by cleaning and gutting houses and helping in the rebuilding effort.
