For a couple of days this week, I felt like I was back at LeTourneau living the life of Resident Assistant on Gilbert 3. My task was to prepare 60 goody bags for the incoming freshman. But this time I was doing it as a staff member with AIA and not as a student. Xavier holds a class fall semester each year for the incoming freshman student-athletes. This week has been up and down. I've been battling a chronic low-grade fever which is making me tired, but I've also had sweet times reconnecting with athletes at UC, Xavier, and Northern. Wednesday night, Cassie and Shelly came over to chat and watch the Olympics. These two beautiful women are hungering after God. I'm amazed that God uses me to help "feed" them. Over the past week or so, I've been reconnecting with friends in the the Cincinnati area. "How was your summer?", each person asked. My response, though varied in wording, was pretty much the same. How was my summer? Good. Really?! Is that all I can say? Good really doesn't describe the summer I had.
